Burgan Bank Kanz Account To Apply Terms And Conditions
A non-interest-bearing account with a minimum start balance of KD 200/-. Kanz Account can be maintained in Kuwaiti Dinars or in major foreign currencies defined as (USD, Euro, or GBP). Kanz Account holds five types of draws: annual, bi-annual, quarterly, branch-based, and monthly. 4. Each KD 25/- is equal to one coupon in the draws. Without prejudice to the terms and conditions hereof, the eligibility rules for Kanz.
Account Draws are:
• The annual draw will be held once a year where one winner will receive a cash prize of KD 1,500,000. The minimum balance to enter the draw is KD 200 and must be maintained in the Kanz Account until December 31st.
• The bi-annual draw will be held once a year where one winner will receive a cash prize of KD 350,000. The minimum balance to enter the draw is KD 200 and must be maintained in the Kanz Account for a period not less than one month prior to the draw date.
• The quarterly draw will be held four times a year where one winner will receive a cash prize of KD 25,000. The minimum balance to join the draw is KD 5,000 & must be held in the Kanz Account for a time not less than one month earlier to the draw date.
• The monthly draw will be held twelve times a year, where twenty winners, per month, will receive a cash prize of KD 1,000. The minimum balance to enter the draw is KD 200 and must be maintained in the Kanz Account for a period not less than one week prior to the draw date.
• The branch draw will be held two times a year, where one winner per branch will receive a cash prize of KD 5,000. The minimum balance to enter the draw is KD 200 and must be maintained in the Kanz Account for a period not less than one week prior to the draw date. Accounts that do not have the above specifications, based on the bank`s sole discretion, will not be eligible to enter the draw.
Draws will be conducted on Thursday. If any given Thursday falls on a holiday, it shall be moved to another date as determined by the bank based on its sole discretion. A minimum balance charge of KD 2/- shall be collected for any month in which the balance goes below KD 200.
The Kanz Account must be opened until the date of the draw. Closed accounts, at any time prior to the draw, will be excluded from the draw on the day of the draw. Withdrawal from the Kanz Account can be performed using any withdrawal means provided by the bank. Salary transfer or standing instructions cannot be performed through the Kanz Account.
The Kanz Account will be blocked or closed based on the bank’s sole discretion if the account balance remains zero for three consecutive months without informing the customer.
As of the draw date, relatives of Burgan Bank employees up to the second degree are not allowed to participate in the draw. Any winner who is proven to be a relative of an employee shall forfeit the prize which shall be canceled or shall be transferred to the substitute winner of the draw based on Burgan Bank’s sole discretion.
If the prize is already collected by such a winner, the prize shall be returned immediately to the bank. The same applies in case a relative (up to the second degree) of a customer becomes an employee of the bank after opening the account before the draw date.
The Kanz Account will turn dormant if no transactions are made for more than 36 months. The dormant account will still be eligible to enter the draw and there will be no dormancy fees deducted.
The bank reserves the right to amend or cancel the terms and conditions of this account at any time without the need to obtain the customer’s prior approval on the same. Such amendment or cancellation shall be valid only after the customer is notified. Such notification may be made by any means available to the bank including telephone, SMS, email, newspaper, bank’s website, or any other means the bank may deem fit.
The bank reserves the right to publish the names of the customers and their photos who won the prize of any draw, in any media and/or advertisement as determined by the bank and shall have the right to also use this publication for purposes of promoting and marketing its services and products.
In addition to the terms and conditions stated herein, the Kanz Account shall be governed by all the terms and conditions applicable to the bank’s services and accounts.
